MFG's own webdev speaking, Cedi the kaijufolk! It's nice to meet you all - or to see you again, perhaps. It's been a long and rocky half-year since development on this website began, but in spite of that, moths continue to fry games. And today, our website gets its first major update - this very blog you're reading right now - and I want to tell you a little bit more about it!
We added this blog using Zonelets, a free HTML blogging engine hosted on Neocities (hey, like this website!) written by Marina Kittaka, another indie dev who made Angeline Era, a game our own Myr has recently begun playing on Twitch! Zonelets is a minimalist engine designed such that you can immediately get a personal blogging website up and running with no additional work aside from some variables and, of course, blogs to share through it. It assumes a blank starting point, so since we already built out the rest of the website, our architecture conflicted a tiny bit and we had to work a bit more to get it up. But that's what I love about Zonelets; it's easy and intuitive to build upon, and it provides a solid foothold to get our blogging efforts off the ground running. Check out Marina's work whether its her blog or her gamedev, she deserves it!
I'm handing off this blog to the others to follow up with more news on MFG's current happenings. It's been a delight to work with the moths here, and I'm excited to continue expanding this website's features and more projects with them! And massive thanks to Atlas for all of their graphic design expertise, they're responsible for this website looking so mothdamn good!
See you soon!
